Description

This medication is an antiemetic which belongs to the family of H1 type antihistamines.

Nausicalm is used to prevent and treat motion sickness and in the short-term treatment of nausea and vomiting without fever.

Why are we sick in the car or other means of transport?
Motion sickness is due to an inadequate response from the brain, linked to an opposition between the information provided by the eyes and that given by the vestibule (organ of balance located in the inner ear). For example:

  • The data transmitted by the eyes: These perceive a movement (eg: they see the turns in which the car is engaged).
  • Information sent by the vestibule (organ of balance located in the inner ear): This registers an impression contrary to that communicated by sight (eg in a car, he feels that the body does not move). Because of this, it cannot give the brain exact information about the position of the body. This prevents the body from adapting to movement, as it usually does when traveling.
